The training will definitely help, especially if and when we need to use a hoist for mum – I have never seen a hoist being used but now I feel more confident in using one and I have also experienced what it feels like to be in one.
The Carers Groups are an excellent opportunity for me to learn more about dementia and chat to others in a similar situation.
