Making Caring Visible
Carers Week was established by Carers UK over 25 years ago. It is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, offer support to carers and highlight the challenges they’re facing.
This year, Carers Week (8 – 14 June) is all about making caring visible. Throughout the week we will be sharing stories from unpaid carers in our community, promoting the services we can offer them and providing information and support.
We want to help raise the profile of unpaid carers so that their enormous contribution to society is fully recognised, appreciated and valued. It’s always been our mission to have carers’ needs, choices and voices are at the heart of everything we do and now more than ever, it is vital that carers have access to quality support and services to enable them to live their own lives, whilst caring for their loved one.
What are we doing?
