Carers Week (6 – 12 June 2022) is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges that unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. The theme this year is to come together to make caring Visible, Valued and Supported.
During Carers Week we want to highlight the crucial role carers play in the lives of thousands of people across the UK and have a week jam-packed of events planned to shine a light on carers and the support services that we can offer.
Our Dudley Carers Wellbeing advisers will be out and about during the week – our adult carers team will be at Russells Hall Hospital on Monday 6th June and our young adult carer adviser will be a Halesowen College on Wednesday 8th June – providing information, advice and signing up unpaid carers in Dudley up to the service. We also have various support groups happening in person and online throughout the week.
