We will be supporting Carers Week (5 – 11 June 2023) again this year. Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges that unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. The theme this year is ‘Recognising and supporting carers in the community’ – to encourage communities to come together to recognise the huge contribution unpaid carers make to society.
During Carers Week we want to highlight the crucial role that carers play in the lives of thousands of people across the UK and we have a week jam-packed of events planned to shine a light on carers and the support services that we can offer.
Our teams will be hosting a variety of groups and events for all age carers, and our Dudley Carers Wellbeing team will be taking adult carers out on a daytrip to Trentham Gardens in Staffordshire.
The grand finale to our week will be a Carers Family Fun Day!
Taking place on Saturday 10th June, 11:00am-5:00pm at St Michaels school in Rowley Regis (St Michaels CE High School, Rowley Regis, B65 9AN), this fun day is for unpaid carers of ALL ages, their family and friends to come along and have a fun day out at no cost to them.
There will be (at no charge) inflatable’s, obstacle courses, carnival games, food, refreshments & much more! We look forward to seeing you.
