Coronavirus Advice for Carers

Coronavirus Advice for Carers

In light of recent developments regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) Crossroads Caring for Carers have taken the decision to close our office (494 Wolverhampton Road) for the coming weeks. However, all office staff will be working from home and all calls to our main number will be diverted to them. All carer groups and training sessions due to take place at the office have been postponed until further notice.

Our Care Support Workers are still out providing a vital service to the most vulnerable members of our community and we would like to reassure you that we are following public health advice and precautions stringently to ensure the safety of our staff and service users.

In addition, if you are a carer we recommend that you have a contingency plan in place for your loved ones care should you become unwell or need to self-isolate. Take steps now to follow hygiene and infection control guidance and take a look at our guidance to help with your planning.

Please remember, if you have symptoms of coronavirus (a new continuous cough or a high temperature), it’s important that you stay at home for 14 days to help protect your friends, family and neighbours. Please visit www.nhs.uk/coronavirus for a full list of coronavirus symptoms and up-to-date information and advice to protect yourself and the person you care for.
