Our Home Care Services in Halesowen

We provide flexible care options ranging from occasional companionship and personal care to fully
managed live-in support. Every service is adapted to the client’s routines, preferences and desired
level of independence.

Live in Care

Live-in care supports people living with frailty, dementia or reduced mobility, as well as those returning home from hospital. A carefully matched carer lives in the client’s own home, providing companionship and help with:

  • Personal care and medication prompts
  • Mobility and household tasks
  • Meals, shopping and appointments
  • Hobbies, routines and social interaction

Live-in carers require an agreed overnight break. If regular night-time assistance is needed, waking-night or additional overnight support can be arranged. Carers are matched according to experience, personality and individual care needs, with relief cover provided for planned breaks.

Respite and Short-Term Home Care

Respite care gives family carers time to rest, attend appointments, go on holiday or manage other responsibilities. It can also provide temporary quality care while a regular arrangement is unavailable.

Bookings may range from a single visit or several days to multiple weeks. Minimum booking periods are 7 days with a minimum of 7 hours being provided. Subject to staffing and assessment requirements, we may also provide emergency short-term support following illness, a fall, unexpected carer absence or discharge from hospital.

Contact us as early as possible for planned respite. For urgent help, call 0121 553 6483 so the team can confirm current availability.

Dementia Care at Home

Familiar surroundings can provide valuable reassurance for someone living with dementia. Our carers use calm communication, consistent routines, gentle prompts and positive reassurance to reduce distress.

A dementia care plan may include:

  • Calm communication and consistent routines
  • Help with medication, meals and hydration
  • Meaningful activities and memory prompts
  • Support to reduce anxiety and household risks
  • Regular updates for families

Our dedicated care managers review changing needs and work closely with the client, their family and relevant health professionals.

Personal Care and Daily Support

Personal care can include assistance with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, continence care, toileting and mobility. Carers can also assist with getting in and out of bed, using mobility equipment and preparing for the day.

We protect dignity by requesting consent, explaining each task, respecting privacy and encouraging the person to do as much as they safely can. Care is never rushed. Wherever possible, clients receive support from a consistent team whose members understand their preferences.

Our goal is to support people to maintain their abilities, confidence and independence on a daily basis.

Light Housekeeping and Household Tasks

Practical help can make the home safer and more comfortable. Depending on the agreed care plan, our carers can help with:

  • Washing dishes and wiping kitchen surfaces
  • Light dusting, vacuuming and tidying
  • Changing bed linen
  • Taking out household waste
  • Shopping and putting groceries away
  • Watering indoor plants
  • Keeping frequently used areas free from trip hazards

Laundry support includes loading and unloading the washing machine, drying, folding and putting away everyday clothing and bedding. It does not normally include specialist dry cleaning, major stain treatment or large-scale ironing unless agreed in advance.

Care Plan and Needs Assessment

We offer a free initial assessment at home, by telephone or by video call. There is no obligation to proceed.

A care professional will discuss the client’s health, mobility, routines, medication, home environment, communication needs and personal preferences. We will also consider what matters to the person—such as remaining involved with family, visiting friends or continuing activities that help them live life on their own terms.

The assessment outcomes are documented in a personalised care plan.

The client and their authorised representative receive access to the completed plan and can request corrections or changes.

What Sets Our Home Care Services Apart

Our person centred care is shaped around each client’s individual needs, routines and goals—from companionship and mobility assistance to comprehensive domiciliary care.

Subject to availability, our experienced team can arrange support at short notice, including after hospital discharge. Every carer is DBS checked, fully trained and regularly supervised, helping us deliver outstanding care and complete peace of mind.

Comparing Home Care and Care Homes

Home care allows a person to remain in familiar surroundings while receiving tailored one to one support. It can preserve routines, relationships, pets and links with the local community. Flexible hourly visits may also be more proportionate when only limited assistance is required.

Residential care provides accommodation and shared on-site support. Nursing homes also employ registered nurses for people who need ongoing clinical care. A move may be advised when someone’s needs cannot be managed safely at home, even with equipment, home care or round the clock support.

The right choice depends on safety, clinical needs, personal wishes, available family support, housing suitability and cost. We encourage families to seek input from relevant health or social-care professionals before making a major decision.

Common Questions About Home Care Halesowen

Our hourly care starts from £29.96 per hour, with a typical range of £18.25-£29.96 depending on visit length, timing and the level of support required. Evening, weekend, bank-holiday, waking-night and specialist-care rates may differ.

Following the free assessment, we provide a written quotation showing what is included. There are no hidden additions beyond the terms explained in your service agreement.

Availability varies according to the required start date, care complexity and carer matching. Hourly visits may sometimes begin sooner, while live-in care generally requires time to complete the assessment, matching and safety checks. Ask us about short-notice arrangements if the need is urgent.

The Care Quality Commission regulates health and social-care services in England. Inspectors assess whether a provider is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led before awarding an overall rating.

Our current rating is Good, dated 14-05-19. You can verify our registration and read the full report at https://www.cqc.org.uk/location/1-129802968. Avoid relying only on phrases such as excellent service or outstanding care—families should read the evidence in the latest inspection report and ask providers how they monitor care quality.

Tell us the required dates, visit pattern and type of support. We will check local staffing, complete an assessment and provide a written quotation. Planned bookings should ideally be requested 1 month in advance, although emergency requests are considered when carers are available.

We support adults aged 18 + with a range of needs. This may include elderly clients, older adults recovering from illness and adults who need ongoing assistance. If your enquiry concerns children or a service outside our registration, our team will explain whether we are authorised and appropriately trained to help or suggest a more suitable service.

Where timings allow, we arrange an introduction before care begins. Our matching process considers skills, availability, personality and shared interests. We want every client to feel comfortable with the people entering their home and confident that they will receive high quality care.
