If you are receiving a care package from Crossroads, we are able to support you with a referral to an occupational therapist who will visit you at your home to assess your needs.

Occupational therapists aim to improve your ability to do everyday tasks if you’re having difficulties. You can get occupational therapy free through the NHS or social services.

An occupational therapist will visit you at your home. They’ll ask you questions and walk around with you to see what you struggle with and you’ll work out what you need together. Make sure you tell them everything you find difficult, even small things such as opening a cupboard. Assessments usually take at least an hour.
